BRITISH OWL WORKSHOPS FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS

An experienced children's educator, my educational British owl workshops are a wonderful way for Primary school children to learn about the wild owls that live in our countryside, like barn owls, tawny owls etc

KS1/KS2 OWL PRESENTATION

As part of my owl workshops I present an interactive Powerpoint presentation that engages with the children and teaches them about wild owls, breeding, the habitats they live in and how they are specially designed to hunt for prey.

OWL PELLET SESSION

Owl pellets are fascinating to look at and as part of my owl workshop I set up a table with two microscopes, small mammal bones, pellets and feathers together with a guide to identifying the bones

AMAZING OWL FEATHERS

Owl feathers are different to other bird's feathers and during the workshops the children get a chance to handle real barn owl feathers which have special features for silent flight and compare them to pigeon feathers

Owl workshops for Primary schools are available in South Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and some parts of Bristol

Wildlife Workshops - Birds, Hedgehogs, Butterflies & Bees

Available in South Gloucestershire & Bristol

This fantastic new half day workshop is a wonderful way to learn about all the types of British wildlife that could visit a garden - whether it’s the school’s wildlife garden or the students gardens.

Aimed at KS2,3 & 4, the workshop looks at ways to attract butterflies, moths, solitary bees, amphibians and birds into the garden using a mixture of colourful photographs and amazing exclusive Wild Owl videos of friendly solitary bees, colourful butterflies, moths, amphibians, mice & badgers and of course birds.

The content is very simple but very inspiring and will be of huge benefit to help children understand the simple things wildlife needs and also what not to do (eg. did you know hedgehogs are lactose intolerant so milk upsets their stomaches etc)

The workshop is ideal for either working with individual classes or in the hall with Year groups and I will also be available to visit the school’s wildlife area to give advice on ways to improve it to attract more wildlife.
